On Thursday, November 22, 2018, representatives from the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), along with employer organizations from the Middle East, South Africa, Uganda, and the Philippines, visited KHRS.
The purpose of the visit was to expand their knowledge within the field of integration and to be inspired by the specific methods KHRS applies in its integration and employment projects.
As our guests were interested both in the employer perspective—including KHRS’s strategic initiatives in the field—and in first-hand experiences from employees who have participated in upskilling programs leading to permanent employment at KHRS, six KHRS employees also attended the meeting.
The aim was to give the international employer representatives insight into how KHRS helps refugees, long-term unemployed individuals, and integration citizens move closer to the Danish labor market through a combination of theoretical and practical training courses.
In addition, a key point was that language barriers can hinder a successful integration process. Therefore, KHRS introduced the participants to our workplace-oriented Danish language training, offered under the name “Branchedansk.”
We hope to welcome the Confederation of Danish Industry and international delegations to KHRS again in the future, and we thank the attending representatives from the international employer organizations and KHRS employees for a successful event.
