In June, KHRS was awarded the Copenhagen Business Prize 2016 in the category ‘Environment and Social Responsibility’. Now the Danish service company is aiming to win this autumn’s prestigious CSR PeoplePrize, following the nomination of a current business partner.
“KHRS is a company that has demonstrated impressive social responsibility. KHRS has been successful in creating jobs for people far from the labour market and has managed to create a strong business, an inclusive and diverse workplace and jobs in Copenhagen.”
These were the reasons given by the judging committee when KHRS was named the winner of Copenhagen’s newly established Business Award 2016 in June.
Now, the successful Copenhagen-based service company is hoping that its nomination will pave the way for it to be one of the six nominees for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum’s honorary CSR People Prize 2016, which will be announced in October. Since 1998, the prize has been awarded to companies that demonstrate outstanding social responsibility, and this year the winners will be chosen and honoured at a CSR conference organised in cooperation with DI.
The CSR People Prize is awarded each year to two companies that have demonstrated through concrete initiatives that their social responsibility is anchored in both their daily life and in the vision of their management. The prize will be presented to the two companies on 7 November, when HRH Prince Joachim will propose the award ceremony in Copenhagen.
